YD Series Multi-Speed Induction Motor Description

YD series motor is a pole-changing adjustable speed motor by changing the winding connection type to change its speed and power. And it belongs to step speed regulation motor. YD series is one of the main derived series of Y series,a national unified designed latest product in China and a replacement type for the JOD2 series.It can change speed easily.The speed of this series motor can be changed step by step according to the requirements ofload characteristics, there by reaching the aims of economizing on electricity and simplifying the system of speed variation. YD motors have 2 speed motor, 3 speed motor, 4 speed motor. This series of motor has great starting torque and low noise and vibration,and its mounting dimensions are complied with the standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC),it has a fairly good interchange ability as compared with the similar products of the same kind so that it is easy to maintain and used widely in the industrial departments of machine tools,chemical industry,textile, metallurgy and mine,etc.

The work condition and installation size of YD series motor is the same as Y series motor, installation ways are IMB3, IMB5, IMB35, IMV1, etc. We can make the special multi-speed motor according to user’s requirements.

Series Code + Frame Size + Iron Core Length No. + Motor Poles

Example: YD 112 M – 6/4/2

YD—means variable-pole multi-speed motors

112—the second part means the height of motor center (when the motor has no foot, it is same to motor with foot)

L—the third part means the base iron core length no.(S-Short Base, M-Medium Base, L-Long Base)

6/4/2—the forth part means the motor poles, this is a 6/4/2 poles motor, synchronous speed is 1000/1500/3000 r/min (50Hz); 1200/1800/3600 r/min (60Hz)
