YZP Series Crane and Metallurgical Inveter Duty Motor Description
Series YZP Frequency Conversion Speed Regulating Motor for Metallurgical and Hoisting Use YZP series frequency-conversion speed regulating three-phase asynchronous motor (Hereafter motor is called.) for metallurgical and hoisting use integrates advantage of frequency-conversion to result in the features of great overloading capacity, high mechanical strength, wide range of speed regulation and stable operation. Its basic technical specifications are in conformance with IEC34-1 and GB755 and all the performance indexes of motors are equivalent to international level of 1990s. The series equipment is suitably applied for various kinds of hoisting and metallurgical machinery, or other similar equipment, as well as in the cases of frequently starting, braking and reversing.

Circumstance for use: Altitude not exceeds 1000m above sea level. The ambient temperature shall no higher than 40℃ and no lower than -15℃; in metallurgy environment the highest temperature shall not higher than +60℃.
The rated voltage of the motors is 380V and the rated frequency is 50HZ. Continuous speed regulation is available within the range of 3-100Hz. And also nominal voltage, nominal frequency and frequency modulation below 3Hz can be selected according to user requirements.
The insulation class of YZP motor is class F and class H. the insulation class F is always used in the field where ambient temperature is less than 40 and the insulation class H is always used in the metallurgical field where ambient temperature is less than 60. The motor with insulation class H and the motor with insulation class F have the same technical date. The motor features fully-sealed terminal box. The degree of protection of the motor for enclosure is IP54. The degree of protection for terminal box is IP55.
The type of cooling for YZP motor is IC416. axial independent cooling fan is located at the non shaft extension side. The motor features high efficiency, low noise, simple structure and the motor is suitable to fit auxiliary equipments such as the encoder, the tachometer, and the brake, etc. which assure that the temperature rise of motors at a low speed operation will not exceed limited value.
Its rated voltage is 380V, and its rated frequency is 50Hz. Frequency range is from 3 Hz to 100Hz. Constant torque is at 50Hz. And below, and constant power is at 50Hz and above. Its rated duty type is S3-40%. The dates of the rating plate are provided according to the rated duty type and the special data will be provided on the special request. General-Purpose Motors vs. Inverter Duty Motors – What’s the Difference?
Most of todays General Purpose motors are Inverter Rated – suitable for use with a VFD but do not have the speed adjustability offered by a true inverter Duty Motor.
General-purpose motors don’t have to use a VFD though, they can be run directly off AC power, with power coming at a very clean and consistent sine wave at 60hz. This creates a steady flow of power with relatively few voltage peaks and little line noise as well. This makes them a good fit for a wide variety of basic applications.
However, the downside to this approach is that such a motor only runs at a single speed. Should the motor need to run at variable speeds, it has to do so by utilizing gears or other mechanical means to change that speed – which is inefficient and adds complexity to the design. As a result, these motors tend to run hot when they’re outside of the standard speed zone, particularly if they’re running slowly – a lot of mechanical effort is needed to slow things down.
